Last week, I had the honor of sponsoring a Tea Party for The Country Friends, a cherished organization celebrating its 70th year of dedicated service to San Diego County. Held at The Country Friends Consignment Shop in the heart of Rancho Santa Fe, the event welcomed new community members and showcased our incredible mission of "Helping San Diegans since 1954 :: One Hand at a Time." Attendees enjoyed an afternoon of conversation, tea, and connection, all while exploring the shop’s carefully curated collection of treasures—from silver and crystal to fine furniture and objets d’art.
This year marks a significant milestone for The Country Friends, whose unwavering commitment to supporting local charities has raised nearly $15 million to date. Funds generated through events like the Tea Party, the Art of Fashion, and our Consignment Shop directly benefit essential services in the community, from meal programs and educational workshops to rehabilitation programs and emergency assistance.
The Tea Party was not just an opportunity to enjoy a lovely afternoon but to celebrate The Country Friends’ legacy of compassion and generosity. As we continue our mission to enhance the lives of those in need, it is heartwarming to see so many new faces joining us in this meaningful journey.
