Back to school, back to business.
The July numbers reflect a calming in the frantic pace of the market, as many went on vacation for the first time in over a year. With August comes back to school and back to business after a much-needed break.
In Rancho Santa Fe there were 37 sales in July vs 52 in June (full list below). The number of homes selling is still well over previous years; for comparison, in 2019 there were 18 sales in Rancho Santa Fe in July.
Fewer new listings were posted in 92067 in July (23 vs 37 in June) but there were also a fair number of off-market sales happening.
Who is moving here? We are seeing buyers from Northern California, Los Angeles, Colorado, Arizona, and Texas looking for our special mix of luxury and laid-back lifestyle.
After the most unusual and hectic market, I’ve seen in my 24 years in the Ranch, I’m looking forward to a busy but more balanced August and September as we head into Fall. With prices stronger than ever it is an incredible time to buy and sell in San Diego. If you are looking to secure your spot in the best corner of California (I may be biased but it’s true!) there is never time to wait.
